Throughout the month of January, Maine Lions Clubs participated in a "Souper" Bowl food drive to benefit our local food pantries.
We're happy to report that a total of 3,509 cans of soups were collected, over a TON of other non-perishable food items, PLUS hundreds of dollars in cash donations.
The Biggest Winners of our January "Souper" Bowl, are the many area food pantries and more across Maine that were served by this service project.
The Waterville Lions Club came out of top as the winner of this year's event with a total of 760 cans of soup collected! As a winner of the "Souper" Bowl, the Waterville Lions will be able to present a $100 check to the charity of their choice!
Many thanks to all the clubs that participated in this project!
