HALLOWEEN PARTY The Stratton-Eustis Lions Club sponsored their annual Halloween party for the towns of Stratton and Eustis at the Community Building, Wednesday night, October 31. Our new Leos Club members helped by giving each child a “goodie bag” filled with Halloween toys upon entering the building. Cookies and punch were provide to all. The costume judges had a difficult job deciding "witch" were the best costumes due to the imagination and creativity of the many participants. Prizes were awarded to the scariest, most original, and best overall in five different age groups. Winners were 0 – 4: Rhiannon Berry, JayCee Sherrier and Jaylon Charest; 5 -9: Emma Berube, Merrill Steward and Hunter Berry; 10 -14: Joshua Ryan, Jeb Stevens and Tyler Souther; 15 – 18: Nik Crawford, Mike Steward and Nate Hewitt; Adult: Tony Logas and David Toothaker. After parading their costumes for the judges and other guests, all the children took part in games which included relay balloon popping, ball and spoon races, can walking and scooter racing with prizes given to all who participated. The grand prize, drawn from all who attended and awarded only if the person drawn was home by 8:30 p.m. was won by Tyler Logas, 11. The photo is of all the winners and the judges.
here are the winners and the judges, Elizabeth Cordoza, Kate and Bob Blackmore (in the back on the stage). |
