According to Mr. Arruda “I am honored and surprised to be a recipient this year.  I look forward to continuing to serve the community.”

Since the club’s charter in 1954,  Mr. Arruda is their first member to receive the Melvin Jones Fellowship. Mr. Arruda was instrumental in continuing the club’s activities and its members have worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as Polar Blast, Family Fun Days, the Stratton-Eustis Halloween Party and the Seniors Christmas dinner and party.  Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to two annual college scholarships, Sight First II and other causes in the community and world wide.
