It is sad for me to say that we have
lost a lion from our club. Lion Don Smith died yesterday Feb 6th. Don was
a lion for 35 1/2 years. During this time frame he held various positions
in the club. He held President, Vice President, Secretary Director,
Tail Twister, Membership Chairperson, Turkey raffle Chair, Bingo Chair,
Christmas Tree Chair & Hospital Equipment Chair. He also dealt with
ths USA/Canada Forum.
The Funeral services will be at the
J.S.Pelkey Funeral home on Sun. Feb 10th from 6-8. The family has requested
a Lion's ceremony. We will do this at 5:30. Church services will be Monday.
I'm not sure of that time frame yet. We can find out Sun.
all the address of the Funeral home for Don Smith. It is on the Route 1 by-pass here in Kittery. If you are coming down 95 South take the Exit 2 exit in Kittery. This will bring you onto Route 236. Swing right onto 236 go about 2/10's of a mile. You will see an exit for the Route 1 by-pass heading toward Portsmouth. As soon as you get onto the by-pass you will see the Funeral home on the left hand side. (If you get to the first set of lights you have gone to far). Coming from N.H. just come across the middle bridge and when you go through the first set of lights it will be on the right
